Spring

Spring has sprung, at least we hope so. The lettuce and early onions are up in the hot bed along with some volunteer dill, love dill. Looks like the garlic has done well over the winter too.
Pa planted green beans, corn and beets today. Will set out some early tomatoes and peppers tomorrow.

Eye-Catching Candle Displays

When candles make an appearance in unexpected places, they're sure to enliven the atmosphere.

Light the Hearth

Give your fireplace a new glow.

If you don't need to use your fireplace to help heat your home, try filling the firebox with pillar candles of all sizes. You'll get the effect of firelight without the mess of wood ashes. Add fresh greenery and gilded leaves, but be sure to keep plant materials well away from the candles' flames. This idea is also good for older homes where the chimney has been sealed off but the hearth remains."

Candles bring you warmth and love

Candles were once used only for light and maybe some heat. Today we are fortunate enough to have electricity and with a flip of a switch we have instant light and heat. We use candles in so many different ways today. Candles help us to remember our loved ones and special events. If you need to relax after a long day, think of our scented candles. Decorate your home with candle holders and when you light our soy scented candles, it will bring an exciting scent to your home or office. Some candles are there just to put a smile on your face. Just as people come in different sizes and shapes, candles also come in many different sizes, shapes, and fragrances. "

Soot particles travel deep into the lungs. Breathing soot is not recommended at all!

Blue Moon Fun Facts and Candle Trivia

Blue Moon Fun Facts and Candle Trivia: "Did you know.................
No one really know why we have candles on birthday cakes? It is a fact lost in history, but some think it is because the ancient Greeks use to make round cakes in honor of the full moon and take use them in worship of their goddess Artemis. She was the goddess of the moon. It is said the Greeks placed candles around the cake to resemble a glowing full moon. Do you suppose they sang a song when they did this!"
